  • Whenever possible, we encourage a brief introduction (virtual or in person) prior to the scheduled session so families and Helpers feel comfortable and aligned.

  • Yes. A parent or guardian must remain reachable during all sessions.

What This Is — and Is Not

  • No. CalmAway Care provides non-medical respite support only. We do not provide therapy, behavioral intervention, or medical services.

  • No. Helpers do not administer medication.

  • No. Helpers do not transport children. Sessions take place at your hotel, resort, or other travel accommodations.

  • Support is coordinated based on the child’s needs and Helper alignment. Age ranges may vary based on destination and Helper availability.

  • We prioritize calm engagement, respect for routines, and following the child’s lead rather than imposing structured activities. This approach helps reduce stress while away from home.

How It Works
